SLICK WILLY'S TEST SHOOT

This was an initial photo shoot for my major project- Slick Willy's- a fashion store in Dunedin, which took place on a flat's rooftop. This location was very tropical looking, and as a result, looked as if the models weren't even in Dunedin, but an abandoned island. During the photoshoot, I gave the models a lot of flexibility, where they could relax and act how they felt comfortable. This gave the shoot a natural and relaxed tone.

SLICK WILLY'S FINAL SHOOT

These photographs were taken for my major project- Slick Willy's- which were used through a book, brochure and a series of posters. The aim was to avoid the typical white background photoshoot where the model appears forced, and to take a more natural and fun approach in a unique setting. The theme was based around the idea of Dunedin students on an escape from mundane life, to a deserted and hidden sanctuary. The shoot was very relaxed and natural, where I encouraged my models to do what felt comfortable, which reflected a vibrant and energetic nature throughout the photographs.

THE BEAUTY OF CRASHING WAVES

This was a self initiated photoshoot where I aimed to capture the essence and beauty of waves at sea. The texture, movement and colours of waves before, during and after crashing is different every time. There is the idea that waves appear repetitive, however there will never really be the same wave twice. This influenced me to record the beauty in each unique wave form.
